GSC Launches Free Public Transport Service for Umrah Pilgrims at Jeddah's KAIA
The General
Syndicate of Cars (GSC) recently launched a free public transport service at
Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) for Umrah pilgrims. This
service aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the central area and provide a
hassle-free option for pilgrims to perform rituals comfortably.

Service:
The GSC's free
public transport service provides pilgrims with a convenient and accessible
option to reach the Grand Mosque of Makkah. Pilgrims can obtain a boarding pass
for a bus that will take them to Kadai Parking, then to the Grand Mosque of
Makkah, and return to KAIA through the same route. The service is available
daily, with frequent departures from KAIA to the Grand Mosque of Makkah every
hour from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The primary
objective of this service is to enable pilgrims to reach Masjid al-Haram by
public transport, thereby reducing traffic and congestion in the central area.
The service provides a comfortable and convenient option for Umrah pilgrims,
eliminating the need to hire private transport or travel through unfamiliar
roads.
Schedule and
Frequency:
The service is
available daily, with departures from KAIA to the Grand Mosque of Makkah every
hour from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Similarly, there are 12 trips departing from
Makkah, from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, back to KAIA. During Ramadan, the number of
frequent flights from the airport to Jamia Masjid reaches 13 in a row,
departures from the airport are from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, while the departure
from Makkah is at 4:00 PM. Starts at 4:00 p.m.: 00:00 a.m.
Increase in
Visits in the Last 10 Days of Ramadan:
GSC General
Director Osama Samkari has confirmed that the number of tours will be increased
during the last 10 days of Ramadan. Additionally, the number of flights
arriving at the airport will increase significantly, and bus departure times
will be adjusted to coincide with Tahjud prayer times.
